Kathy and I took a drive to Edisto Beach today as her workplace is closed down for the hurricane. It was almost deserted. We saw just two other people on the beach. The wildlife didn’t seem to know about the evacuation. We had a burger at a restaurant and were told they were closing at 6:00 as police were shutting down incoming traffic at that time.

Above, Kathy cavorting in the surf. Below, we saw lots of crabs on the beach.

We also saw some turtle eggs exposed on the beach. Probably from an earlier high tide. They were intact, so Kathy buried them.

And, on the way out: Some small winged creatures.
